Monica
Bastidas is a native of San Francisco where she married and raised her
two children. She joined St. Mary’s Medical Center in 2006 as the
Residency Program Coordinator.

Jánice Hoobler
|
Jánice Hoobler is our part-time Academic Research Coordinator and is involved in all aspects of clinical and basic research activities for the Department including project design, IRB regulatory submission, clinical execution, as well data collection and analysis.
Jánice was born and raised in Chico, California where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Management. After college, she worked for Chevron as a computer programmer for more than 13 years. Her initial contact with the medical field was through her own diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and her subsequent volunteer work with the Women’s Cancer Resource Center and her work at Planetree library at California Pacific Medical Center where she did medical research for patients.
She later ran the Patient Resource Center at Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center in Berkeley followed by a Library Coordinator position at the Health and Healing Library (formerly) Planetree at CPMC. She joined the Solomon Library at St. Mary’s last year, bringing with her 11 years of library experience. In addition, Janice has taken master classes for Holistic Health and Education.
She is a Buddhist who loves Shakespeare and going to Ashland Oregon and the Sierra Nevada. She has an identical twin Janet.
