Yearly, from July through June, lectures take place once a week during the first half of the day—typically beginning at 6:30 am with the last lecture at 10:30 am. The block of weekly lectures include post-review of the Orthopaedics in Training Exam (OITE) as well as subjects in functional anatomy and surgical operative approaches as they relate to trauma, pathology and other issues in adult and pediatric care. Lectures are often led/proctored by faculty and/or guest speaker. Residents oftentimes participate in leading the lectures.
