Journal Club
Chief and senior residents organize a monthly journal club with resident and faculty participation. This group reviews current and classic articles emphasizing scientific design, analysis methods and results in Orthopaedics. They are hosted by one of the attending physicians at a local venue. Goals for having journal club are:
- Teach residents how to evaluate scientific articles
- Instill habit of reading scientific journals
- Facilitate residents learning about current research
- Another method for residents to learn orthopaedics
- Develop comradery between residents and faculty
